CARE & MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Film Dry-out Time:
Dry-out time might be needed for the mounting solution used during the installation of your Window Protect window film. The warm climate and direct sunlight exposure can fasten this process, while cold or non-sunny weather conditions would slow it. There may be the appearance of small water beads and a slightly cloudy look during the dry-out period. Don’t panic if drying is slow. The film will dry-out.
DO NOT CLEAN THE FILM FOR 30 DAYS AFTER INSTALLATION.
Kindly follow these instructions for proper care and maintenance which would maximize the life of window film. Always use clean and soft materials to wash and dry the surfaces of your window film. 1/2 ounce of liquid dish soap added to 1 quart of fresh water would act as a good cleaning solution though most glass cleaners will work as well. We recommend a soft cloth or a clean synthetic sponge for washing the window film, followed by another clean soft cloth or soft rubber squeeze for drying it. Avoid using bristle brushes, abrasive scrubbing sponges, or any other cleaning materials that may have been contaminated with dirt particles to prevent scratching the film. Do not wash interior and exterior windows with the same cleaning materials. Some paper towels are coarse enough to put fine scratches in the film, even films with the scratch resistant or protective hard-coat finish. These scratches may not be seen at first but they can surely damage and lessen the polished look of the film over time.
